Five buildings at the University of Florida have received LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building council for being environmentally friendly. The school adopted LEED criteria for design and construction for all major new construction and renovation projects in 2001. The university now has 17 certified buildings, five buildings pending certification, and 22 buildings registered to become certified.
The CSR Asia Center at AIT has been formally opened in a ceremony led by the Foreign Minister of Thailand, Kasit Piromya. The new center, a joint venture partnership between the Asian Institute of Technology and CSR Asia, is located on the campus of AIT in Pathumthani, Thailand. The center will focus on research, training, and consultancy work in Thailand and the Greater Mekong Sub-region, and will create an executive master’s degree in CSR, a first-of-its-kind effort for CSR Asia.
