Green Mountain Coffee and Ashoka’s Changemakers have announced a panel of judges for their Revelation to Action contest. The judges are some of the most innovative social entrepreneurs in the U.S, including Michael Havard, VP Marketing for Newman’s Own; Bill McKibben, environmentalist and writer; and Beth Ginsberg Holzman, CSR Strategy and Reporting Manager for Timberland. Revelation to Action is an online competition to fund the most innovative ideas to improve communities in New England and New York. Nominations can be made through April 21st at www.Changemakers.com/Revelation. Winners will be awarded prizes totaling $50,000 dollars.
Sustainable Life Media has announced the Sustainable Brands Innovation Open, a contest for sustainable start-ups. Companies may apply in two categories: idea stage and early stage. Entries are encouraged in both consumer and B-to-B categories. Ten start-ups will be invited to participate at the Sustainable Brands 2010 conference to be held June 7-10 in Monterey, California, where a winner will be selected by a panel of sustainability business experts.
