My friend Christie Clark is raising money for Make a Wish foundation and taking a huge step - off a 32 story building in downtown Austin, Texas. Yep, you read that right. Over the Edge and Make a Wish have teamed up for an awesome fund-raising event...
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & South Texas helps grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions that depend on courage to overcome obstacles every day. Now they challenge you to face your fears, step to the edge, maybe check an item off your bucket list or just try your hand at a new adventure... It's time to catch your breath and go Over The Edge for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & South Texas.
The first 150 individuals or teams to raise a minimum of $1,500 will have the opportunity to go Over The Edge! Reach your fund-raising goal by recruiting friends, family and co-workers to support your leap for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & South Texas! Companies and organizations can also band together and raise the minimum of $1,500 to toss their bosses down 32 stories of One American Center in downtown Austin.
Since 1984, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & South Texas has granted over 3,000 wishes throughout its 40-county-territory. The Foundation's sole mission is to grant the wishes of children, between the ages 2 ½ to 18, with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Only 150 people get to take the plunge and to be one of the 150, you have to raise the $1500. As of right now, Christie is at 33% of her goal ($499). On the site's official page, you can read all about Christie's reason for getting involved, but here's a little tidbit...
