A bit about myself:
Offering hope and help, with dignity, to those who suffer unnecessarily from the injustice of poverty

8 years • 2,954 water projects • 308 education projects • 157 health projects

Over 2 million people served through Integrated Rural Development
I believe in...?
A Glimmer of Hope's approach to International Aid and Development is unique. The foundation is run like a business and it measures its success like a business. It is in operation to turn a profit. What is Social Profit? Its the amount of social and humanitarian benefit gained as a result of investing in the well-being of others. Using an innovative strategy that includes integrating its projects to achieve maximum impact, A Glimmer of Hope is making a sustainable difference in the lives of some of the poorest people in the world in rural Ethiopia. Built into its entrepreneurial model is a high degree of efficiency and according to Michael Dell, chairman of DELL and co-founder of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation: A Glimmer of Hope is extremely professional and well-respected because of its work that reaches across the globe. Yet, its the foundations direct engagement with the community locally in Ethiopia that provides so much value and ensures projects being funded are those the people really want and need.
A Glimmer of Hope divides its efforts into two main categories: Humanitarian Aid and Enterprise. To achieve its objectives, it identifies and works with the best development organizations in Ethiopia. With these organizations as its partners, A Glimmer of Hope is providing access to essential social services in areas where they are needed most by the people who need them most. These services include clean water, education, health care, agriculture and microfinance.
