Operation Christmas Child

Since 1993 Operation christmas child, a division of christian organization 'Samaritans Purse,' has given gift filled shoe boxes to needy children in over 130 different countriesat Christmas time. Along with the gifts, the children also recieve an education about jesus through a children's bible school course and thier very own little paperback bible that they recieve in thier language. Most of these children have never had many things that they could call thier own, and the joy these little boxes bring them is almost unimaginable. The most important gift they recieve is the knowledge that Jesus loves them, and that YOU, someone halfway across the world really does care for them. And to think all starting from a simple shoebox that may have just been tossed in the gargabe! I have been doing OCC since i was a little girl, and it gave me as much joy as the little girls and boys recieving the boxes. It's so much fun picking out the little toys and gifts to pack inside the box. Your kid's will enjoy it too. Or you can make a charitable donation to Samaritan's purse.
