Can our attitudes affect poverty the world over? I wonder if we can change the face of poverty through embracing cultures and working together to find workable solutions to issues. Historically western and industrialized cultures have worked to help others through assimilation. Perhaps the way out of global poverty is through embracing differences and giving back a little of what was taken away. Such as food crop diversity, maintaining food growth that is prosperous for specific areas therefore requiring less irrigation, tending, and adjustments to local conditions. There are other ways to embrace cultural diversity, through schools, language revitalization, higher education of community members to increase self sustainability, etc. What do you think?
